What the winner receives

The winning business will receive:

Who can apply?

The competition is open to businesses that:

  • Are based on Wirral/Liverpool

  • Have been trading for less than 12 months

  • Are independently funded

  • Are not owned by a larger company or supported by significant outside investment

  • Would benefit from professional photography as they head into the final quarter of the year

  • Are available for a photography shoot in Wirral during September 2026

• Information you provide through enquiry, booking and competition forms

For competition applications, this may also include your trading start date, team size, funding status, business description, photography interests and the information supplied in support of your application.

How I use your information

I may use your personal information to:

• Respond to enquiries and discuss photography requirements
• Prepare quotations, arrange bookings and provide photography services
• Deliver photographs, invoices and other information connected with a booking
• Manage and assess applications for competitions or promotional opportunities
• Contact competition applicants about their entry and the result
• Maintain business and financial records
• Improve my website, services and customer experience
• Send occasional photography advice, business updates and relevant offers where you have chosen to receive them

I will only use competition application details for marketing where the applicant has separately chosen to receive marketing communications.

Lawful basis for using your information

I use personal information under the following lawful bases:

• Contract: where the information is needed to respond to a request for a quotation, arrange a booking, provide photography services or deliver photographs.
• Legal obligation: where I need to retain information for tax, accounting or other legal requirements.
• Legitimate interests: where it is reasonably necessary to operate and improve my business, respond to enquiries, maintain business records, manage and assess competition applications, prevent misuse of the website and protect my business.
• Consent: where you have actively chosen to receive marketing emails or other optional communications. You may withdraw this consent at any time.

Who I share information with

I may share personal information with trusted service providers where this is necessary to operate my business and provide my services. These may include:

• Website hosting and online-form providers
• Email and communication services
• Online photography gallery and image-delivery services
• Secure cloud storage providers
• Payment, bookkeeping and accounting services
• Professional advisers where necessary

These providers may only use the information where required to provide their services. I may also disclose information where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

Competition applicants’ details will not be shared with promotional partners for their own marketing unless the applicant has separately and clearly agreed to this.

How long I keep information

I keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected.

• Unsuccessful competition applications will normally be deleted within 12 months of the winner being announced, unless the applicant has separately agreed to receive marketing communications.
• Marketing contact details will be kept until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.
• Enquiry and project information will be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to manage the enquiry, provide the service and deal with any later questions.
• Booking, payment, invoice and accounting records will be retained for the period required by tax and other legal obligations.

Information may be retained for longer where this is necessary to meet a legal requirement or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you
• Ask me to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Ask me to delete your personal information
• Ask me to restrict how your information is used
• Object to certain uses of your information
• Ask for information you provided to be transferred where the right to data portability applies
• Withdraw consent at any time where I rely on consent

I am based in the United Kingdom and do not directly appoint overseas service providers. However, some online services used to operate this website, including Wix, may process or store personal information outside the United Kingdom.

Where this happens, the service provider is responsible for using appropriate safeguards to protect the information in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
